The End of an Experiment

There's a new post over at Support for Special Needs. My thoughts on the conclusion of a program that really did make the difference in Schuyler's life.

They don't support the iPad because Medicaid doesn't pay for it. It isn't a "dedicated" speech generator because the iPad can be used for more than speech.

Imagine...making decisions based in money. Hmmm.

That may be the reasoning used by other districts, but Schuyler's team very specific. The support issue was the lack of apps designed by speech language professionals. Which is of course not accurate at all.
