Am I serious? No one knows, not even me.

The very first thing I plan to do when I get my advance for the book is buy Klops for Schuyler.

Well, come on. Go look at their other creations and tell me they aren't MADE for Schuyler. Look at Klong, and the Yeti. Her little mind might actually explode.

I just wrote to them to ask if they do commissions. I was thinking just one, for Schuyler, but who knows? I could have the industry's first special needs parenting book with a plush doll tie-in. The possibilities boggle the mind.

Schuyler's monster, indeed.

(Okay, back to work...)

I bet they wouldn't mind the publicity that will come with a commission. :)

Here's another spot for a custom monster - www.stupidcreatures.com. My favorite from the gallery is LickLick.

I love the idea of a plush monster accompaniment!

I heard back from them. They *DO* make custom pieces! Well, this might be an interesting diversion. I just sent them some ideas for what I am thinking.

And yeah, when I do goofy things like this, or the tattoo, or "No comment" t-shirts for Schuyler, you can pretty much assume that the whole thing is starting to get to me a little and I need to defang the monster a little.

If you need some more monster cuteness, you should check out the cartoons of Katie Cook, particularly The Monsters' Republic of Monstaria and The Smashy Adventures of the Hulk.

Great idea - have you mentioned it to your agent? It would be interesting to hear what they say...

The Klong!! That's the one for Schuyler. I don't know whether to thank you or curse you, I just ordered two of the sinister Bunny for myself and Rymer.

Thanks, Rob, you just made my little mind explode too!! These are so awesome!

I, too, am 25 and will be the owner of one of these absolutely as soon as possible.

I'll have to order two: one for me, and one for the niecelet. Do you know that when I was telling her mom the other day about your book (she says woo-hoo, too), Niecelet brought me her favorite book and I told her, "Yes, Mister Rob is writing a book, too, about Schuyler, his smart little girl in Texas, remember?" And she said, "Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! Wob! Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!" and danced and laughed uproariously for five minutes.

Even an 18-month-old knows how to celebrate talent.

And for anyone who thinks it's strange that

I'm assuming you've seen these things, right? http://www.uglydolls.com/ My kids all have a couple of them because I want them.

Schuyler has an Uglydoll that was given to her by a friend. It rides around in my car.
