Oh, love it, love it, LOVE IT! I love watching little attitudes and personalities bubble up.

Rob, I came across your blog a couple of months ago, and have been going through the archives. Some times it's so hard to keep a sense of humor raising kids, and your humor, sensitivity, love and closeness all glow through your writing.

Thank you so much for opening your world up, for sharing yourself, for letting us share your family's journey.

OK, enough cliche-type stuff. Cheers to you and yours.

Too bad about the bugs - I hear they're full of protein. :>

Hi Rob, I know this comment has nothing to do with the entry. Your e-mail link doesn't work, so I'll just post this here. Have you seen this: http://www.thenation.com/doc/20060213/chester ? Apparently big communications companies are lobbying to privatize the internet, giving them full control over what content consumers can access efficiently and also how much users pay to access ANYTHING online. I only just heard about this today, but it really concerns me. I'd really appreciate it if you'd give it a mention in your blog. I mean, if anyone has internet clout, it's you, right? :) Thanks a lot, Liz

Against the cable company? Ask my cable company how scared they are of me. I am cloutless.

I did fix the email link, however. Let the hate mail begin!

You know that point where kids become teens or 'tweens, and they go from thinking of their parents as godlike beings to being more-than-vaguely embarassed by them?

I think Schuyler might get to that point a little earlier.

This is a very sweet blog, very emotional to me, as I am raising a 3 year old and find it diffucult enough in itself. I am checking back to ur blog often

I found your blog from Diabetes Mine. I'm actually the founder of the Diabetes O.C. website (though not the O.C., obviously). Anyway, I think your little girl is just about the cutest kid I've ever encountered. Adorable. I think she's my new role model.

Looking forward to seeing her grow up.

Ok, I've gotta know: Is the exasperated sigh meant to communicate "You are SUCH a DWEEB, Dad!" or is it impatience because she wants to eat tasty, tasty bugs?
