One more parenting revelation

When you as an alleged adult have a very small injury and are at home, it is entirely possible that you will end up going to work wearing a Dora the Explorer Band-Aid.

Hey, it's all good so long as they don't notice the matching socks and underwear.

Like I wear underwear to work.

Ha! I bet you could come up with a cool picture of that....love it!

Yeah, but that's just you being hip. Web designers are supposed to wear funky stuff, after all -- I'm pretty sure it's in the union rules.

Dora is the only kind of bandaid we have in our house! My husband recently broke the arm off the side of his glasses (actually, it was our son who did it), and it is now held in place with a beautiful Dora the Explorer bandaid until a new pair of glasses can be had :) [thankfully he wears contacts during the day so as not to look *too* silly at work!]

Barbie bandaids here.

(Of course, because I'm female, then that sort of thing just looks like I'm being "retro-grrrl")

If you wear decorated bandaids, it's just good you have a kid to blame it on. We know you, Rob. You negotiated the Dora-aids after letting the kid get the red hair dye.

Be a Man, Rob. Next time, get the Superman band-aids. (Just tell the Chubbin they're Supergirl band-aids.)

Scooby Doo band-aids for us :) We bought Backyardigans ones last week for a change of pace. My kids actually try to make up boo-boos sometimes just to wear them.

We've had the character Band-Aids in our house since long before the Doodle arrived. Now we can just blame that on her. "Oh, yeah, Scooby-Doo. Hee. I must've grabbed it from my daughter's room." Of course, I keep a few in my desk, too, in case a co-worker gets a boo-boo. Always fun to see a boss-type walking around with a Sesame Street Band-Aid.

Mine were Elmo. Then I went to Archie McPhee and got the ones that look like bacon strips. I'll bet Schuyler would like them, or at least her Dad would...

You're not alone with the silly bandages. I have a Sesame Street one on my thumb right now.

Used to be Winnie the Pooh, then Care Bears (I will never understand comebacks, so help me), and now we've worked our way up to Spiderman.

Truth is, you'll cry like a baby the day that you don't have any kiddie Band-aids in the cabinet or she makes a face at the Doras! I'm dreading that one...

I got skull-and-crossbones pirate bandaids in my Christmas Stocking (and no, I am not an 8-yr-old boy). I thought they were great, until I cut my finger right before going to work and realized they were my ONLY bandaids.

Barbie for the girls, Spongebob for the guys at our house. :-)

We have disney princesses, sharks/sea creatures and dragontales in the closet...

Cute...my child used up all of my pantiliners, by sticking them on the window (that was facing the street) and asking if I liked the pretty butterflies!

Leeann, TMI, much?

nothing ages a person so much as flesh-pink bandaids, ugh!

I'm loving that you're still here.

I have sushi band-aids, but since buying them, I've somehow managed not to injure myself! I never thought I'd be disappointed by a lack of injuries.

Sharon - pirate band-aids? That's awesome.

I think it was Nexcare that used to make bandages with these great retro graphic patterns on them - stripes, dots, etc. I was really sad when I used the last one up and couldn't find more.

I hail from the days of "flesh tone" bandaids only.

But -- this lead to an interesting Dad moment in our house. My brother had lazy eye when he was about five, and had to wear an adhesive eyepatch for a year or so as part of the treatment. And for some reason, my father decided to decorate each one. So every morning, before putting on his patch, my father would get some felt-tip pens and the funny pages and draw a little cartoon character on his patch. The day they had school pictures it was the yellow "have a nice day" smiley face.

Somewhere there's a scrapbook with all the eyepatches because my brother saved them.
