I snuck him into Schuyler's room last night while she slept, and when we woke her up this morning, we asked her if she heard a monster crying. When she saw him sitting there with the other two, she lost her mind. This is how she left them posed when she left for school this morning.
And Baby Monster is apparently a girl. Well, clearly.
Weird and creepy? Or unexpected teaching moment? You decide.

super cute :) That makes up for all of the stupid school crap she has to deal with
BRILLIANT! Been waiting for this post since your tweet this morning. Hey, one person's weird and creepy is another's thrilling and awesome, you know?
Um. Amazing. I guess that answers my earlier question... :D
Indescribably adorable. Mommy and Daddy Monster are obviously quite proud of their bundle of joy!
I vote teachable moment. Well done, sir.
Awww, how neat, how fun!
Teachable moment, but mostly just adorable.
SO adorable...I needed a light moment today..thank you! Love the way they're posed!
LOVE it! It's like a little monstery representation of your family. I mean because Sam and Margaret clearly really love their new baby. Not because you guys have beady eyes and horrible dental hygiene. I've seen your eyes, and I'm sure you all brush regularly.
Has Schuyler named her yet?
That's so cute. Well done, Rob and Julie!
That is heart-meltingly sweet--absolutely nothing weird or creepy about it.
Your daughter is remarkable, Rob.
What a happy looking family! She has her mummy''s eyes ;)
Hooray for the little one! I was hoping you'd get one for her. I love the pose, too. Cute, great teaching moment and whoever said weird and creepy were bad things?
I agree, Mom and Dad look very happy and proud. Good job!
Schuyler is the coolest kid ever.
It is funny for me to listen to my teenage girls talk about their favorite memories from when they were little. They almost always talk about something that was just a little thing that we did or said, but it apparently meant the world to them. . .and I bet this will be one of those great fond memories for Schuyler. . .and that is the most important thing.
Well done, indeed.
I think it is wonderful.
There's a store in Chicago you might want to visit--it seems to be almost all Godzilla, all the time. If the URL breaks just go to the Chicago Tribune website and search for Godzilla.
Here's the abstract:
"Monster Island Toys, sandwiched between a discount beauty supply store and a defunct noodle shop on a lonesome stretch of Bridgeport, with a facade so unspectacular and forgettable it could be a discount pager emporium, is a breathtaking, fire-breathing, badly dubbed monument to the cultural resilience of grown men in rubber lizard costumes, and a testament to disposable income in bad economic times. There is frankly nothing here that you need;unless you need a pair of plush green Godzilla-feet slippers with enormous white toenails. Or a set of Godzilla trading cards. Or a Godzilla key chain that emits his infamous trademark roar. Or miniature dioramas of Godzilla stomping on a highway overpass, Godzilla cradling two electrical towers, Godzilla dancing a Russian jig, or, oddly, Godzilla offering eggs."

I hate to think of the various words you're gonna have to add to the BBOW. Yikes.
I vote for teaching moment. After all, most babies come at night....lol, you guys are the best!
omg, I love it! It's like, the Easter Bunny or the Tooth Fairy, or something.
That is wonderful. And I'm not just saying that because I had a deep and abiding love for my cousin's Rancor and wanted to steal it away. =]
We're a pro-monster household, so of course I find this unbearably sweet and touching.
Weird and creepy? Nah. Beyond cute :D
And a really touching thing for you to do for your kid. Good on you.
