Once again, I've written a piece, this one called "Invisible", for the fine people over at Support for Special Needs. And the good news, at least for me, is that it looks like I'll be a regular contributor over there. Here's hoping it's good news for them as well.
(Also, don't forget that November is "cultivating an ugly plot of facial hair to help fight Cancers of the Man Parts" month. Go visit my Movember page to learn more.)

I have tried to leave a comment on the SSN blog but it has kicked it out each time.I'll try here.
At not quite 5 years of age, I already see Zoey's invisibility to her little peers. Invisibility of indifference, not sure which it is, or which is worse. And also, is the the children, or is it the children's parents. I say both. As her mom,by proxy, I wear a cloak of invisibility as well. A source of self protection. In some moments I would like to strip myself of I and blend in with the crowd. what I do know for certain, is that my child handles her shroud of invisibility with far more grace and dignity than this mother of her's. she continues to be my greatest teacher in this life.
