Okay, so the thing we discovered in our Box Class a few days ago? The one that I said I was just going to spring on you? Well, we learned how to interface directly between the BBoW and our laptops. This means that Schuyler can now send emails, input into Word documents and, well, blog. Good thing, too, since she wants to tell you about her new friend...)

my Dragon eats elephants . My Dragon is green . I love Dragon . she can fly! She is my friend.
-----
(Note: Yep, it's apparently a chickie dragon. Well, of course it is.)
That is WICKED cool! Tell Miss S I love her story.
ReplyDeleteP.S. My five year old is also a big lover of the reptile---real and mythical. I take it for granted until we go places and women go all weird and screechy about "that little girl with the lizard (or whatever the thing of the day is)." I forgot to mention, she also likes giant bugs, and they all have to be some form of rubberized plastic, which she calls jellies. And they tend to be life-size (or greater) so pretty realistic.
ReplyDeleteHow about
ReplyDeleteSchuyler: The Blog
Do you think the world is ready for it?
Hi Schuyler! WOW, that is a cool dragon! My little boy wants me to ask you how your dragon flies. And how many elephants does she eat for breakfast?
ReplyDeleteHi, Schuyler! That is, indeed, a huge surprise. :) Nice story; I hope we get to hear more about your dragon later. She sounds pretty nifty.
ReplyDeleteSchuyler,my boys love dragons too! Yours is pretty cool! We have lots of books about dragons at our house and we LOVE them! What's your favorite dragon book?
ReplyDeleteAn elephant eating Dragon is probably the coolest thing I've read about on a blog lately.
ReplyDeleteFinally someone who is NOT blogging about Imus!
Thank you Schuyler!
From a Big Box of Words to a Big Blog of Words - take THAT previously crummy school system of under-estimation! Go Schuyler!
ReplyDeleteDear Schuyler,
ReplyDeleteIt is so nice to meet your dragon! I hope you will tell us more about her (and about you) soon. My daughter Rachel's best friend is a pink and white teddy bear that meows like a cat. Rachel is going to be seven years old in June. Even though she is younger than you, you remind me of her.
Love,
Jen
this is a fantastic development. :)
ReplyDeleteFantastic. Your dragon is rather cool. If only they had a dragon like that at the reptile house.
ReplyDeletehmmm... I think I'd actually *like* to know Schuyler's take on Imus :)
ReplyDeletewow - that is so cool!
ReplyDeleteMy 3 girls (3, 7, 9) are all quite jealous of her dragon, but they wonder what her name is? They name everything (um, I caught my 3yo naming gumballs).
Great dragon, Schuyler!
ReplyDeleteDear Schuyler,
ReplyDeleteMy birthday is in a couple of weeks, and even though I'm a grown-up, I want a dragon like yours!
Happy Monday, and thanks for the story!
Angie
That's about twelve kinds of awesome.
ReplyDeleteShe is now officially unstoppable!
ReplyDeleteWelcome to BlogLand, Schuyler. Your dragon looks pretty fiesty--does your dragon breathe fire?
ReplyDeleteI hope that you write more for us very soon!
P.S. Rob--maybe you should have her send a BBOW email to the lovely administrators back in that crummy, good-for-nothing, underestimating, stupid school system.
VERY cool.
ReplyDeleteSchuyler - I think your dragon is brilliant, does she have a name or is she just called Dragon?
Hi Schuyler! I think your dragon is pretty neat. I hope you have many wonderful adventures together!
ReplyDelete(How amazing is this. Huge smiles today.)
Oh wow, that's so cool. Hey Schuyler! Very cool dragon. What's her name?
ReplyDeleteBut, Is the Big Dragon House-Trained?
ReplyDeleteElephants are quite the meal and could create some troublesome droppings for the Dragon.
That is so exciting-- her world just opened up a lot more.
Schulyer - What a great dragon! Does she have a name yet? You must be very brave. I think I would be afraid of a dragon that can eat elephants. Tell your dad that I think he needs to get you your own blog.
ReplyDeleteSchuyler, I like your dragon very much. I think she is pretty, too. Please tell your dad to send the dragon manure to the previous school district.
ReplyDeleteAWESOME! Can't wait to read Schuyler's blog! Followed by her book...
ReplyDeleteHi Schuyler! I am so glad you decided to add to your dad's blog. My son wants to know if your dragon eats elephants with ketchup and I was also wondering what your dragon's name is. I hope we get to read more from you soon.
ReplyDeleteLove to hear about the dragon! Good job Schuyler, you are one smart cookie! :) Can't wait to hear more about the elephant eating dragon!
ReplyDeleteLike Father, like daughter.
ReplyDeleteSchuyler, you are way more cooler than your dad is. ;) Your chickie dragon rocks!
hi, schuyler! you're so young and yet you already write better than a lot of the adults i know.
ReplyDeletei hope you share more of your writing with us soon. writing is so much fun! yay! (that "yay" was not said in the placating voice that adults often use around children; instead, it came from a goofy, gleeful place. writing IS fun. YAY! ;))

Well, T.Rex needs a girlfriend, right? ;-)
ReplyDeleteAwesome! I hope Schuyler has her own blog someday. When she's a few years older, she might enjoy reading the Harper Hall trilogy of books by Anne McCaffery (Dragonsong, Dragonsinger and Dragondrums).
ReplyDeleteHey Schuyler and Rob,
ReplyDeleteWhere does the dragon get elephants to eat?
Thanks for letting us know about the extended capabilities of the BBoW. A friend of my son's has one so we're always interested in what you have to say about it. We're going to ask at school if they can set it up to do IMing. That would help him so much.
Thanks again
Wowie, this is an exciting development.
ReplyDeleteWatch out, soon she'll be IM'ing with her friends. :-)
Seriously, this is just great news. Watch out world, Shuyler is on the net.
