Happy Birthday, Schuyler! Rob, your title reminds me of a quote I love which makes me think of my son: "You're what happened when I wished upon a star."
To you and Julie: Happy Anniversary of the day your lives changed and became richer and more complex than ways you ever imagined.
I'm a new reader, been back in the archives catching up on everything.
Thanks so much for sharing your life with Schuyler. It is inspiring, encouraging, and often downright hilarious. I can't wait for your book to come out!!
Happy birthday, Schuyler! I hope you get lots of cool stuff! What an adorable baby you were, and what a beautiful young lady you have become. I hope the next time your dad comes to Ohio you get to come with him so I can meet you in person.
(Our friends' twin girls just turned 9 too, and I find it astounding because I am certain they should only be 6.)
Hi Schuyler and Family- I met you briefly at the ASHA Convention in Chicago last month. I was honored to receive a copy of your book, as I had read magazine excerpts about it earlier in the year. I made it a personal goal to finish the book on your birthday yesterday, and it was 10:30 last night when I did so... I hope that you all had a wonderful day spent sharing lovely and loving memories and celebrating that wonderful holiday present that you received years ago: the arrival of Schuyler! All my best to all of you.
Schuyler shares the exact same birthday as my son Jack, to the year. I like to think that the reason he was born on that day was because one of the darkest days of the year needed his light.
I hope you write about Schuyler's reaction to the robotic dinosaur!

ReplyDeleteThe stars themselves should celebrate your birthday. Your presence here on this lonely earth makes it feel a little less cold.
Hope you all had a wild celebration! (Do you like how I'm trying to get all southern on you Rob?)
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday dear. I found your blog a long time ago, and then I lost it. I'm back. (Kim, originally from West Haven, CT)
