Schuyler has more to tell you this morning...
-----
My dinosaur is orange and yellow and green. She has red eyes. She roars and eats little dinosaurs. She has friends. I love dinosaur. Her name is Lana. My Dragon is name Zoe. My dinosaur is a tyrannosaurus rex! Good-bye to daddies friends!
-----
(Just so you know, we looked on this stupid thing for five minutes, trying to find how to do an apostophe s before she gave up and just went with the plural. The BBoW knows how to keep its secrets. On the other hand, she knew exactly where to find "tyrannosaurus rex". Go figure.)
Yay! A Schuyler blog!
ReplyDeleteMy son is just now (at 2 years) beginning his obsession with dinosaurs. He made me read Schuyler's post about 15 times. He likes that we can be interested in the same blog. I do too!
ReplyDeleteThanks for that!
Dear Schuyler,
ReplyDeleteMy sister has a dog with the same name as your dinosaur! They are also about the same size, although your Zoe has bigger teeth. I bet that if they played together they could have fun chasing their tails and eating bugs.
Alison
Truly important stuff first, naturally. ;-)
ReplyDeleteSchuyler,
ReplyDeleteYou are an amazing young lady! I've enjoyed reading about you but it's even nicer to hear from you.

The few bucks I contributed to the BBoW seems to have been one of my better investments in the younger generation of late. Shame about the apostrophe, though, and you two are true writers for searching for it. I notice, however, that we are Daddy's friends. Not yet admitted to her circle!
ReplyDeleteHi Schuyler
ReplyDeleteThat is a nice story. But why does Lana eat baby dinosaurs?
And where did Zoe and Lana get their names from?
You are a good speller. Were you using spell check when you wrote this?
I have been reading your Daddy's blog
so I have gotten to know you a bit from that.
Your friend, Grammacello
I love getting these comments from Schuyler. I've been a lurking reader since well before Schuyler was born, and I've been alternately heartbroken and inspired (and quite a number of things in between) by your accounts of her since then, but these updates from the horse's mouth, as it were, are so wonderfully evocative of this smart, funny, beautiful daughter you have. Thanks for sharing them!
ReplyDeleteLittle dinosaurs, not baby dinosaurs. She watches Discovery Channel, she knows how it goes down...
ReplyDeleteDear Schuyler,
ReplyDeleteThank you for writing to your daddy's friends. We are so happy to hear from you! Give big hugs to both Lana and Zoe, and one to your mom and your dad too.

Hi Schuyler! I'm Patience. I'm 5 and like lizards. They're green. I name them all Lulu and Lily. I wish I had a jelly dinosaur. Wherever they have jellies I think I can find one. Lana and Zoe are nice names. Love, Patience
ReplyDelete(Thanks to Mom for typing.)
Hi Schuyler! I like your dragon and dino. Everytime I see Chucks or dinosaurs I think of you! That's cool huh?
ReplyDeleteTalk to you soon,
Shannon in Austin
PS: You're a really pretty girl :)
Awesome. Schuyler rocks. Am I the only one who read, "My dinosaur is a tyrannosaurus rex! Good-bye to daddies friends!" and immediately thought: That is so cool. Her dinosaur is so bad-ass that it eats her father's friends. Daddie's friends are no match for my T-Rex. Goodbye friends! Mwa ha ha ha!
ReplyDeleteHi Schuyler,
ReplyDeleteI like your dinosaur! She looks nice, even though she does eat other dinosaurs.

Anne
Orange, yellow, and green are AWESOME colors for a dinosaur. What's your favorite color? What are her friends like? Lana and Zoe are very cool names. Your dragon sounds like a very good friend. Do your dragon and dinosaur like each other?
ReplyDeleteThank you for writing to us all Schuyler!
Hey, remember those guys who said Schuyler was probably mildly retarded?
ReplyDeleteWhat fucktards!
Scott - that was exactly what I thought too! I can picture Schuyler giggling with glee as her dinosaur chows us down....
ReplyDeleteSchuyler, thanks for coming back and telling us more about your buddies. That's a great picture of you and Lana. Do Lana and Zoe like to play together?
ReplyDeleteRob and Julie: She's amazing.
Behold the power of the BBOW! Giving Schuyler her words and taking down everything that stands in her way.
Hi Schuyler,
ReplyDeleteI like Tyrannosaurus Rex best too!
(Hi Rob:
Okay, remember a few posts ago I joked about Schuyler figuring out a way to hack her BBoW and turn it into a Palm Pilotsomeday?...it's looking very, very possible.)
Rock on, Schuyler!
ReplyDeleteI love the name Lana for a dinosaur, and Zoe's such a pretty name for a lizard.
Every time I read something Schuyler has written, I tear up. Every single time.
ReplyDeleteMy heart breaks to think of all the kids trapped in special ed classes who are capable of much more-- but are permanently stunted and handicapped by the system instead.
I am so glad you and Julie are her parents-- and familiar with your middle fingers.
Rob-This message I'm about to type is from my son, who is also seven. I showed him this picture of Schuyler and her dinosaur and told him all about her (for the second time, I've told him about her before) and told him she likes dragons and dinosaurs etc etc. --
ReplyDeleteDear Schuyler
I have a dinosaur just like yours. It is yellow green and orange and has red eyes and it makes a sound. Yours probably does too. I'm also interested in dragons too. The name of my tyranosaurus rex is JT. Whats your favorite thing about Zoe? I just wanted to say hello since we have the same interest in toys. It's neat we have the same dinosaur. Sincerely Noah.
Ps I also have another red smaller dinosaur that is red blue and black. He is more puny than the big one. {insert mischeivous laughing here} And he slashes his jaws and claws!!!
--Thought I'd share. He dictated all that to me. I'm a good mamma typer!
