I should probably post something like this every now and then, especially as we get closer to the book release.

i remember dana posting an announcement of schuyler's birth and providing her email address in case anyone had any questions or things to pass along to the rum-huds. my first question: how do you PRONOUNCE that? hehe :) now it seems pretty obvious...

Thanks. I've been reading your blog for about a year now(and can't wait for your book!) and wasn't sure on how to pronounce Schuyler's name. Adorable photo.

  4. Heh! Yeah, it's not pronounced quuuuuuuuite the way it looks - what language is that spelling from, anyway? Not that I know where "Skylar" comes from either...

  5. Schuyler is Dutch (thus the Sch- as "k" rather than the German "sh"), it means "scholar". Skylar and Skyler are modern variations. It was once primarily a boy's name, but I think now it's more popular with girls, "popular" obviously being a subjective term.

Sissy Spacek and Michael J. Fox both have daughters named Schuyler.

    Here's a weird coincidence...

When I click on your weird coincidence link, I get invited to start my own blog. I'm thinking that's probably not where that was supposed to take me...?
